QUETTA: A powerful blast destroyed a 3-feet portion of railway track between Dera Allah Yar and Dera Murad Jamali Monday night, but no casualty was reported.
The Jaffer Express heading to Rawalpindi and the Bolan Express (Night Coach), on its way to Karachi, were about to pass this Mangoli area but were stopped at Dera Murad Jamali. Railway officials in Quetta said the area was controlled by the Sukkur division in Sindh province despite the fact the two cities were situated in Balochistan province.
When Railway officials in Sukkur division were contacted they expressed ignorance about the blast. A local journalist Hashim Baloch was present in Mangoli. He said a 3-feet track was destroyed and police were reluctant to evaluate the damage fearing more devices could be planted in the area.
