Occupied Balochistan: The hunger strike camp for the recovery of Zakir Majeed Baluch, the senior vice chairman, of BSO- Azaad, Zakir Majeed, entered in 74th day; a large number of people visited the camp to express their solidarity with the family of Zakir Majeed and other forced-disappeared Baluch brothers and sisters.
Addressing a protest rally in front of Quetta Press Club the sister of Zakir Majeed that we (family) have been sitting on hunger strike protest for 74 day; instead of meeting our demands we are loosing hope and expectations from this brutal state (Pakistan). It is the extreme of cruelty of the state of Pakistan that few days back bodies of Faizullah and Najeed Baluch were found in Satellite Town area in Quetta. It is worth noting that Najeed Baluch, a nephew of Sagar-e-Baluch and Maqbool Baluch, younger brother of Sagar-e-Baluch (Amir Bux Langove) were abducted by Pakistan’s Para-military forces about a month ago. Maqbool Baluch’s whereabouts still remain unknown.
She said we suspect that “my brother and other thousands of forced-disappeared Baluch might suffer the same fate as Shaheed Ghulam Mohammad Baluch and his comrades, that is why through the media we have been appealing to the UN and International Community but we astounded by their lack of concern and silence.
During the 18th and 19th centuries the British had spilled the Blood of Baluch people and today once again their created colonial state (Pakistan) is carrying out Blood-shed in Baluchistan. If they (British/Western Powers) say they’ve developed; they are socialist and they want equality everywhere (in World) then why they are not meeting Baluch demands for equal rights? The 63 years of human rights violations, cruelty and barbarism are not invisible to them. She further said that “Thousands of Baluch including my brother are in the custody of Pakistani intelligence agencies why they (western democracies) are not doing anything for their recovery. If they call themselves the champions of Human Rights then they must take practical steps for recovery of my brother Zakir Majeed and thousands of other forced-disappeared Baluch”.
In the end the sister of Zakir Majeed Baluch appealed to Baluch Nation to stand up against forced-disappearance in Baluchistan in order to force the intelligence agencies to bring the missing Baluch to surface.
Meanwhile hundreds of people held a protest demonstration in front of Quetta Press Club against the abduction of Zakir Majeed and thousands of other forced-disappeared Baluch. The demonstrators held placards, pictures of Baluch disappeared activists and chanted slogans against Pakistan’s intelligence agencies and the state of Pakistan. The sister of Maqbool Baluch, wife of Jalil Reki and Mehrjan Baluch of (Baluch Women Panel) also addressed the protest demonstration and demanded the immediate and safe recovery of all Baluch forced-disappeared activists.
