QUETTA: Three men belonging to the Bugti tribe were injured in a bomb blast at Achanak Chowk in Dera Bugti, on Sunday evening. According to police, a convoy of the Bugti tribe was passing on the road, when unidentified men detonated a bomb, injuring the three men. The injured were taken to Dera Bugti hospital. A case has been registered and police have started an investigation.

Another guard of PML-N Khuzdar chief dies

KHUZDAR: Another guard of the assassinated PML-N city chief succumbed to his injures on Sunday, hospital sources said. On Saturday, unknown gunmen riding a motorcycle had killed the politician and the tribe chief Sardar Aziz Umrani and one of his guards here. Three guards of the leader were injured in the attack. The demise of guard Fida Ahmed has raised the death toll to three. Police handed over the dead body to heirs of the deceased. Meanwhile, police have registered a FIR against three persons of the Umrani tribe namely Abdul Nabi, Ali Dost and Zawar Khan filed by the son of the deceased PML-N leader. Police have started search for the accused.

Balochistan govt imposes Section 144

QUETTA-The Balochistan government has imposed Section 144 in the province on Saturday with immediate effect in order to maintain law and order situation in the province. According to the notification issued by Home and Tribal Affairs Department, following imposition of Section 144 gathering of four or more people at public places, pillion-riding and display of weapons have been banned across the province.
