Karachi/Balochistan: Several Baloch Organisations and Scholars’ councils have joined BSO-azaad protest rallies across Balochistan and in Karachi. BSO-A had given the call for protest against the attack on innocent Baloch students on International Baloch Culture Day function in Khuzdar, Balochistan. BSO-A Mand Town zone organiser Mr Qadeer Sagar Baloch alleged that Pakistan’s intelligence agencies were involved in the Khuzdar incident. BSO members will not be deterred by such cowardice attacks by the intelligence agencies and their stooges. The United Nations should take notice of state terrorism in Balochistan, he urged.

BSO-A Mand zone organiser Committee member Asghar Wafa said that the Baloch struggle for liberation is at a decisive juncture and the state [Pakistan] seems helpless in front of Baloch struggle, that is why they are targeting innocent Baloch students and unarmed civilians. BSO-A members will not hesitate from any sacrifice for liberation of Balochistan. He said that Baloch Nation and BSO will bring the culprits of Khuzdar massacre to justice. Baloch youth are ideologically ready to face the nasty conspiracies of state. Baloch nation and BSO consider it their National duty to struggle for Balochistan’s independence. Leader of Baloch Scholars Council Sardar Bahman Khan Baloch, BNM’s Sana Baloch, Manzoor Baloch, Shehzad Baloch, and Qayum Baloch also addressed the gathering at Gull Khan Nasir Chowk. The Baloch protesters chanted slogans against Intelligence agencies of Pakistan. Leaders of protest in their speeches said that the artificial state of Pakistan was made to serve the British interests and Baloch scholars were not in favour of Pakistan. They said Baloch liberation movement existed even before Pakistan came into being.

Another protest rally took to streets in Punjgur against the attack on Baloch cultural day event in Khuzdar. The participants of the rally said that Baloch were getting closer to their aim (Freedom) which spreading frustration among Pakistani security forces. Baloch struggle for liberation cannot be intimidated by cowardice acts of the intelligence agencies.

KARACHI PROTEST: thousands of people and BSO-A members gathered in Karachi to protest against target attack on Baloch students in Khuzdar. The massive gathering marched from Shaheed Bugti Chowk to Karachi press club, as the rally proceeded towards the press club many people joined them on the way. The protesters chanted slogans against Pakistan and in favour of Baloch Sarmachaars (Freedom Fighters), they were also holding banners and placards that were inscribed with slogans such as “Down with Pakistan, UN & World Communities should take notice of Baloch genocide, International Community and International Human Rights Organisation should take notice of attacks on Baloch students”.

BSO-Azaad Malir zone, Lesbela zone and Hub Zone had given the call for protest which was attended by thousands of Baloch, other well-wishers of BSO-azaad and Baloch Nation, and of course members of other Baloch political parties and students Organisation had also backed the call for protests. We would like to remind our readers that on 2, March 2010 Pakistani intelligence agencies attack Baloch cultural day program. Three people including Sikandar Baloch and Junaid Baloch were killed in this attack and 35 other had sustained injuries.

The leaders of rally said that the attack in Khuzdar was the continuation of state atrocities in Balochistan. The state [Pakistan] after its defeat at the hands of Baloch freedom fighters is now targeting innocent students and other non-combatant members of public in Balochistan. BSO-A accepts this challenge of state and through its peaceful and democratic protests BSO will expose the state atrocities to the International Community.
