Khuzdar: B.S.O Azaad Media Cell has reported that Baloch Students Organisation (Azaad) and Baloch Culture Forum were observing the International Cultural day in Khuzdar Engineering University. When the personal of Pakistan FC (frontier corps) hurled three hand grenades on the crowd. Speaking to Radio Gwank a Baloch student has said that more than 18 youth have sustained injuries including a teacher Mr Jalal Shah and some senior BSO (A) leaders. According to Radio Gwank report the FC has surrounded the University after the attack. The injured have been shifted to Hospital and many youth were heading to the hospital to donate blood to their injured comrades.

BNM statement: Leader of BNM (Baloch National Movement) Mr Assa Zafar Baloch has strongly condemned the attack on Balochi cultural function. He said it was state sponsored terrorism against Baloch students. He said BSO (azaad) is a students Organisation and they are involved in peaceful and democratic demonstrations and awareness programs but it seems the Pakistani Intelligences agencies are using their agents to deter the peaceful struggle of Baloch students.

He urged the International Human Rights Organisations and the UN to take notice of the attack on Baloch functional gathering and play their role to stop a human tragedy from happening in coming days.

Two students of a university in southwest Pakistan were killed and nine others injured when a bomb exploded on the university premises on Tuesday night, local TV channels reported Wednesday.

According to the private TV Express, the blast, the nature of which is yet to be identified, occurred on the premises of Khuzdar Engineering University where a number of students and other people had gathered to attend a cultural event.

The victims and the injured were immediately taken to local hospitals while police have cordoned off the area and started investigations, the channel added.

Hospital sources said two of the injured were in critical condition. One of the deceased was identified as Junaid Baloch, a son of a university official.

Baloch Cultural show and victims of colonial atrocities
Pakistan exhibits colonial culture on International Culture Day.

Observing International culture day, BSO Azaad organized events throughout Balochistan, amongst which was an event in Khuzdar Engineering University, this event not only reminded Baloch nation of their cultural heritage but also made them understand that they still are a colony of Pakistan. As Balochi music was bringing the residents of Khuzdar nearer to their culture, Pakistan’s forces attacked the event and the place where the sound of Balochi music had not yet faded was banging with the explosives planted by Pakistan army. The attack on a cultural show was an exhibition of Pakistan that their culture has always been taking innocent lives and plundering their resources.

In this incident two members of B.S.O. Azaad, Sikander Baloch and Junaid Baloch embraced martyrdom and told the world that Baloch also has a culture of sacrificing lives for the protection of their culture, heritage, identity and motherland. 24 other attendees were injured including a lecturer, out of which 4 students are in critical conditions.

The critically injured attendees were shifted to Karachi for further treatment as Balochistan lacks proper health facilities, Sikander Baloch was also among the one’s who was shifted to Karachi, he couldn’t survive his wounds and embraced martyrdom in Karachi, whereas Beebagr Baloch, a member of B.S.O. Azaad had a 7 hours long operation and is said to be out of critical condition.

Previously Pakistan army had fired upon a peaceful rally of B.S.O. Azaad in Khuzdar, which was held against the genocide of Baloch people in Karachi, causing Saddam Baloch’s martyrdom and injuring several others.

Such acts of atrocities on the members of B.S.O. Azaad by the colonial forces of Pakistan has raised the moral of B.S.O. Azaad and B.S.O. Azaad would continue working for the independence of Balochistan with greater passion, and B.S.O. Azaad expresses its deep condolences on the death of international organizations, who were known to be responsible for safeguarding human rights and freedom. Whereas B.S.O. Azaad also believes in the strength of the Baloch nation’s determination, to achieve Balochistan’s Independence and to promote humanitarian movements around the world.
