Quetta: Voice for Baloch Missing Persons have organised a protest rally against forced disappearances in Quetta. Family members and hundreds of other Baloch women and children took to streets against the abduction of thousands of Baloch political activists. The protesters intended to go to Balochistan Governor House but the police have stopped them on half way. They protested for several hours on Adalat road Quetta and insisted to go the Governor House but the Pakistani security forces did not allow them.
Addressing the gathering Nasrullah Baloch the chairman of VBMP has said that one hand the Pakistan government are making tall claims of giving relief to people of Balochistan but on the other hand they have failed to surface thousands of missing Baloch. He said not only they have failed to produce already forced disappeared Baloch but more and more Baloch are being abducted and political activists are being implicated in bogus cases.
He said more than 80,000 Baloch including women and children were missing and despite the court orders the Police are not registering the FIR against the security personal nominated by the relatives of disappeared persons. Baloch respected women are forced to come out in street to protest against police’s biased behaviour and to demand the immediate release of their loved ones. The government was not taking any notice of demonstrations, rallies and protest camps set up almost everywhere in Balcohistan for the release of force-disappeared Balcoh, charged Mr Nasrullah.
He said that families of Baloch missing person a gravely concerned about the well-being of their dearest ones. He went on to say that if the security forces have killed any of the missing persons then at least they must return their bodies to the families. Voice for Baloch Missing Person will continue their campaign against forced disappearance in Balochistan. Protest demonstrations will be held in front of Pakistan Supreme Court, Pakistan National Assembly and the UN office in Islamabad, next month. Also a list of abducted Baloch will be submitted to the UN office, concluded Nasrullah Baloch.
