Balochistan is ours and it belongs to our children, we will fight until Balochistan is free: aged mother of Wadood Raisani

Karachi: Baloch National Front has observed a memorial meeting in the memory of the Martyrs of Khuzdar and Karachi here in Ghazi Town of Malir area, on Sunday. Central general secretary of BRP Dr Bashir Azmee, general secretary of BNM Mr Khalil Baloch, Central secretary of information for BNF and the president of Baloch Right Council Mr Wahab Baloch, Central Committee member of BSO-azaad Mr Jawad Baloch, Mother of Mir Wadood Raisani and the chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons Mr Nasrullah Baloch were the specials guests of the gathering.

One minute silence was observed in respect of Baloch martyrs and Baloch children sang the national anthem of Balochistan before the processions of the gathering. The participants chanted slogans Pakistan and in favour of Independent Balochistan.

During the speeches greater emphasis was paid on illegal and forced annexation of Baloch land to Iran and Pakistan. The speakers said that the real issue of Balochistan was the distortion of Baloch National identity, culture and language. They said that the enemy of Baloch people were removing Baloch Independence seeking Baloch leaders from the way according a well-planned practice. The genocide of Baloch was taking place everywhere in Baloch populated regions. They charged that currently over 8,000 Baloch activists including women and children have been forcefully disappeared. The abducted Baloch are suffering inhuman and gross torture at the hands of their captors, the Pakistani ISI, MI and other security forces. Pakistan has deployed its regular army and FC in every corner of Balochistan who are there to brace Pakistan’s occupation on Baloch land.

They said that Karachi was an historic dwelling of Baloch people and before Pakistan’s separation from India, Baloch and Sindhi were in majority in Karachi but later Indian refugees have been brought into Karachi with intention to change the Baloch and Sindhi to a minority in their own ancestral lands. Baloch and Sindhi have systematically been kept backward in order to compel them to sell their lands to these Mohajir (refuges and other well off people). Baloch in Karachi and elsewhere have been kept backward, uneducated and unemployed so that they may not have the time and the necessary education to know their right and ask for their freedom.

PPP and MQM have indulged the Baloch youth into gang wars, drug and land mafia gangs for their own benefit. The speakers alleged that at least 2,000 young Baloch have been killed in the name of Gang War by these criminal groups who have the backing of Intelligence agencies, MQM and PPP. Several Baloch youth and leaders have been killed for standing up to these criminal gangs. They said the Baloch of Karachi who have been loyal to PPP are today being massacred but the PPP was not taking any action against the killings of these innocent Baloch which proves that PPP is more interested in the Pakistani parliament and votes and they do not care about the Baloch. The leaders of BNF said that they want to tell the Baloch people living in Karachi that Baloch sarmachaars (Freedom fighters) were fighting for the liberation of Balochistan. Their aim is to get rid of the occupation and to establish an Independent and sovereign state for the Baloch. They urged that supporting the sarmachaars was the moral duty of every Baloch and the Baloch of Karachi should also join the Baloch freedom seeking forces.

Speaking from the gathering the aged mother of Mir Wadood Raisani has said that “Balochistan is ours and it belongs to our children. We are fighting for the Independence of Balochistan and we will continue our struggle for liberation even if we have to fight for 600 years instead of 60 years.”

BSO leader Jawad Baloch has said that “fascist organisation MQM was involved in the genocide of Baloch people in Karachi. Baloch liberation struggle is gaining momentum among all Baloch everywhere in the world. We do not accept the artificial boundaries drawn with the intentions to divide the Baloch.”

BNM sectary general Mr Khalil Baloch said that “Pakistan army and other forces are killing innocent Baloch. One enemy of the Baloch is Pakistan that has occupied Balochistan, and the other enemy is those parties working for the interest of Pakistan (parliamentarians). Baloch should spend their energy only for the independence of Balochistan and prove themselves as patriot Baloch. Our mother, sisters and brothers are being killed and abducted by the state agencies and they are suffering most inhuman torture and humiliation at the hands of Pakistani forces. We must learn lesson for these brutal acts of the state and work for the completion of the mission of Baloch martyrs. Pakistan is a failed state on the map of world and is living on foreign aids. Enemy’s bombs, bullets and packages cannot weaken our determination and desire for freedom. We have only one option and that is the path of Nawab Nauroz Khan, Nawab Bugti, Balaach Marri, G.M Baloch, Dr Khalid Baloch, Lala Munir Baloch, Sher Mohammad Baloch, Rasool Bux Mengal Baloch and thousands of other Baloch named and unnamed martyrs who have paid the unlimited price for the liberation of motherland Balochistan. We will not allow anyone to sabotage Baloch National movement and to defeat the enemy is our first and foremost aspire.”

BRP’s Dr Basheer Azeem has said that “Baloch independence movement is rapidly gaining momentum. The foreign immigrant have united themselves and occupied Karachi whereas 30, 00,000 Baloch of Karachi are suffering because of disunity. Today the immigrants are killing the Baloch but Baloch are cannot do anything. If the Baloch were united no power in world could stop the Baloch. Today we are recognised around the world because of the struggle and sacrifices made by Baloch Sarmachaars (freedom fighters). Resistance is the only effective way to achieve independence”.
