United States says it does not have any evidence of India’s involvement in Balochistan amid Pakistan’s allegation that New Delhi was fomenting trouble in the province. This was disclosed by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, during her interaction with Pakistani editors in Lahore. Her comments assume significance in the wake of Pakistan alleging that India was fomenting trouble in Balochistan and that it had evidence to prove its claim. Ms. Clinton hit out at the Pakistan Government for failing to find Al Qaeda leaders hiding within its borders. She said, it is hard to believe that nobody in the Pakistani Government knew where they were.

Further speaking during an interaction with a gathering of Pakistani women, including students, social workers, intellectuals and business leaders in Islamabad Ms.Clinton said there is a trust deficit between the US and Pakistan. But, she said, the two countries need to work together in the war against terror despite this gap as they are facing a common enemy.
