QUETTA: Unidentified men blew up a gas pipeline in the suburbs of Quetta on Sunday, officials said. The Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) officials said the explosion along the 16-inch diameter pipeline, in Mengalabad area on Sariab Road, destroyed a portion of the gas pipeline, affecting gas supply to some suburbs. Meanwhile Mr Sarbaz Baloch of BRA (Baloch Republican Army) claimed responsibility for blowing up the gas pipeline in Quetta.
A pro-government Wadera Sohrab Khan Marri was killed after unidentified men open fire on him on Mewand Road in Kohlu district, about 600 kilometres northeast of Quetta, on Sunday. The attackers fled from the scene and could not be captured. Sources said that Wadera Sohrab Khan had been spying against the Baloch sarmachaars and was in favour of exploitation of Chamaling coal mines.
Two killed in Turbat: Daily Asaap reported that two people were killed when BLF and BLA attacked a construction company. Mr Meerak Baloch told news agencies that it was a joint action by both organisations. He said two staff of the company was killed and another one injured. He further stated that foreign companies should leave Balochistan else action will be taken against them.
